I am heading up to the Paul Bunyan St Forest area, and I am wondering a few things...

1. Where is a good place to hop onto the trail?

2. Are there trails ATV's and Dirt Bikes can ride on together? Where can you get on these?

3. Anyone know of a place where you can rent ATV's(A friend wants to give it a try)

4. Are there any trail maps or something to that extent?

 

A good place for info is the MNDNR website. They have downloadable maps and trail use discriptions.
Seems to me, beaver bay sports, by the red dot trail, on the north shore rents atvs. There are a few places in WI that rents them too.

Youre best bet for riding atv and motorcycles side by side, is on federal land. Superior national forest, in northern mn is about the best. The rules on federal land are different than on mn land. some of the trails, that are state managed, are open to both.Check the dnr site for more specific info on each trail.
If you go by a local dnr office, stop in there, and you can ask questions, and they can give you maps too. Just south of brainard is a big dnr office.
