So. Calif.-Rasor Rd. Sunrise Ride Anybody?
Rasor Rd. is a great BLM open area that is two exits before Baker on the I-15. We are doing the 5th annual Rasor Sunrise Ride Sept. 17-18. It's well over 100 degrees out there during the day, but it does cool off during the night. What we do is go out in the evening after it cools off (Satruday night the 17th), catch a few hours sleep (or do a night ride?), and get up at first light (Sunday morning the 18th) and ride 4 or 5 hours until it gets hot. Then, jump in the air conditioned trucks, and beat it out of there and back to Barstow for breakfast.
The ride has always been superb! The dunes are trackless, and we always make the run down through Afton Canyon as well. Join us if you are looking for some adventure and off-season desert riding!
