Default Big Horns - Wyoming

I am considering going to the big horns to do some atv riding but I am not sure where the best place to stay and ride is. Years ago I went snowmobiling a few times near burgess junction so have been in that area before. I am just looking for any info someone might have as far as that best atv trails and lodging? Any comments are appreciated. Thanks

I haven't riden up there in years(moved to Alaska)
My brother in law rides ther alot though. Hunting and camping etc.

I could maybe ask him.

I assume you are looking for a hotel ?

I am pretty flexible hotel, cabin or possibly campgrounds. As long as it is an area with good trails the stuff that is really important. Thanks

I'm heading to Homer, AK right now but let
me try and give him a call once I get down there
and see what I can find out.

I rode up there a number of years ago and there
are roads and trails all over the place.
We camped on top of the mountains.

I don't remember any hotels "close". They would mainly
be over in Sheridan, WY. East side of the Big Horns.

Lots of camping but the altitude is kind of up there.

Where are you from ?

How does the riding compare between the northern area near Dayton and the southern area near Buffalo?

I am from Larimore, ND. And I think cwenisch has a good question also. It looks like we are going to try head out in about a month for a few days. We just need to pick a spot and plan on it.
