Good Morning Psar!
It's COLD in them thar hills! Spent a couple of days out and about and discovered I'm getting too dang old to bed down where night finds me. Dang glad I had a little tent. Big snowstorm amounted to about 6" up top and about an inch on the valley floor.
Think it's about time for new tires for the quad, not a lot of tread and traction left in the old ones. Don't want to get anything too aggressive as the soil around the home place holds traction really well when it's dry and I don't want to end up tearing out those little gearboxes. I'm thinking I've had good luck with the original tires and may replace with something similar or even some new or near new take offs. Any thoughts about all this tire stuff? I put on a set of chains in the snow and that took care of the slip and slide problem. Anyone have a good set of Dunflops on Kawi rims? I'll trade you some well worn 16.5" tires on 8 hole pickup wheels. Or pay cash if I have to.
Back to working on the storage shed and cutting trees down today, have to take the pickup in to have the windshield replace sometime this morning which will make for an extended break. May do it first thing and have coffee with the other cranky old men. Since the kid is laid off he has been working with me full time when he's not seeking gainful employment. Sure is handy having the help.
Off to have another great day, you folks please do the same!
Mike
Hap must be sleeping in.

Had a good weekend at Moses 22 degrees and a 25 mph wind on Sat. Had to wear gogles to keep the sand of of our eyes. No wind and lots of sun on Sun. Made the pass both directions with no snow on the roads. Bought tire chains before we left for the truck and trailer just in case($179.00).
