NEW Puget Sound/Seattle/Northwest area riders MEET HERE!!! thread
Morning PSAR!
Everyone is talking about the wind storm we had and I didn't hear a thing.
For you mechanic's I have a question....
I'm looking for a new vehicle (used). I want something that is better on mileage but I can still pull my small quad trailer with my quad on it around. Justin says to get a Jeep wrangler, I say a Toyota 4 runner. I have had a 4runner in the past and loved it. My only concern with a jeep is getting Allyson in and out of the car. I know it will be easier when she can walk and climb up into her seat but until then it will get some getting use to.
The info that I have found so far is, a jeep wrangler has 6 cylinder's with 4.0, 3.8 and 2.4 liters, and a 4 cylinder with 2.4 and 2.5 liters. The 4 runners are V6's with 4.7 and 4.9 liters. I asked Justin what the difference was in the jeep 6's and the yota's 6's and he said the jeeps have a straight 6, I asked him what that meant and he said it's not a V. Hmmm not the answer I was looking for. Which one do you think would pull my trailer better? and if you could tell me alittle more about the engine's I would appreciate it.

GET THE TOYOTA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I had a Jeep is was a POS, DJ HATES them haha, Toyota all the way they take a lickin' & keep on tickin DJ also said a straight 6 has 6 pistons in a row & a v6 has 3 on each side, also from what I've seen w/ Kyle's wrangler it won't tow much & is gutless, the yota will tow more & easier plus your rims & tires off your Yukon might fit the yota Plus you need to remember that the shorter the tow rig the harder to tow I think. It would be MUCH easier to get Allyson in & out of the yota!!! Don't know if this helps you at all if you have any ?'s DJ could probably answer them for you

I just went through the same dilema(with the exception of having to worry about a rugrat to get in and out of the back seat) and I ended up getting a toyota extra cab p/u. It's got the gutless 4cyl 22re motor, but it will get me and my quad to the riding area without having to drive my big truck. I LOVE it! I looked at Jeep's, and have driven a few over the years. They are alright, but I am very, very happy I went with the Toyota.
Afternoon PSAR well I think I have survived Trevor's room WHEW boy did I get to throw LOTS of crap away gotta love cleaning their room when they are @ school
Now I suppose i should go get some gas & mow it's gettin' a little tall but didn't want to do it when it was so hot!!
Have a great afternoon /evening
Oh yeah CONGRATS on the new ride Jayna

Actually, I need the RH tail light assembly. Went to change the reverse light bulb and it's so rusted in the socket, I can't even pry it out with plyers, or cutters, or screwdriver. It's just not coming out. So if he's got a passenger side tail light assembly that will fit a '90, have him give me a call with a price.
And decent tires that will fit 17" rims....26570r17 Something around 31's

No matter what car you get, you'll figure out how to get Allyson in and out, I wouldn't worry about that too much. We use to put my daughter in our Festiva through the hatch in the back... Looked weird, but it was easier that trying to wrestle through the front door to the back seat.
I recommend test driving what appeals to you, looks and features wise, then sort out if the mileage is important.
