Posting a couple of the carnage.
Leading trails just past Banshee Hill at around 11am on Turkey Day.
Came around a blind corner. I am usually pretty cautious for just this reason. Was in 2nd gear and this 12 year old on an LTR450 came flying around the corner and didn't even touch the brakes. We went bumper to bumper, head to head, and helmet to helmet. I just barely saw him before we hit. Stuck in a narrow trail with high sides and no where to go even if I would have had time to react.
When the back end of my bike came back down after we hit, it buried it all the way above the caliper. That kid had no chance trying to tackle me, so he bounced off me and under his quad. I ended up back off my quad and VERY thankful we had FireRider Bill and Lisa with all their emergency training.
Bashed my face pretty good. Thank goodness I had my goggles on or it would have been way worse. Pretty decent black eye with a cut. Lisa did such a nice job closing it up with steri-strips before we went to he hospital that the ER Nurse said he wouldn't suggest removing them for stitches and sent us back to camp without even taking my information. Not sure if that's good or bad, but I think I had better medical care at camp anyway.
Cut eye and corresponding pretty colors and swelling all around. My teeth are still numb. Left thumb is pretty colors and still swollen, too. Destroyed my over the tank bag completely. Tore both bags off both sides and tore the tops open on both as well. Come to think of it, those tank bags may have been what saved me some good bruises on my legs.
Rod and Chris managed to piece my quad back together without the bumper. Since it wasn't my throttle thumb, I was able to ride mostly ok the rest of the weekend. Couldn't find a replacement bumper in Reedsport at all so just went without. Slowed me down a bit, on trails for sure, but still a great weekend. Could have been worse. One of my more severe incidents though. I wouldn't suggest anyone else try it.
MANY MANY THANKS TO EVERYONE FOR ALL THE HELP THIS WEEKEND. You are all greatly appreciated.

Yikes Jayna, that must have been one violent head on. Hope you get feeling better [img][/img]</end quote></div>
Which reminds me. I forgot to throw the bumper in the truck. I think it was under the trailer. Did anyone happen to grab it after we pulled out? I was going to make it into wall art.
