My step-father was a firefighter for the city of Marysville when he passed away. He did that climb twice. The first year he did it it took him over 40 minutes. My Mom told me that on the way home from that he pledged to beat everyone from Marysville the following year. He trained for it like a madman for that year. The day of truth came. His second trip up the stairs, he made it in 22 minutes, and he was the fastest man over 30 years old [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-shocked.gif[/img] He made that second climb at age 50 [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif[/img]

I read that you can run it and be timed or walk it and not be timed, they have two seperate stairwells for runners and climbers. I would be shooting for 30 minutes before coughing up a lung [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-blush.gif[/img], time to start training [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif[/img]
