Some jobs have benefits.I heard about a former volunteer cop / Marine who was also a juvenile corrections officer for a couple of years who got a $250 fine 500' from his house...

now mass actually charges you $25 to appeal a ticket- and if you don't pay the appeal charge after you have requested a hearing, they attach penalty fees and a possible license suspension onto the original citation
So you better make damn sure you want to appeal the ticket before requesting that hearing- and of course you don't get back your $25 if you win the appeal only in focking mass!

So even if the cop is wrong, makes a mistake or is just plain busting *****....you still have to pay. Unbelievable.
