They were closed saturday when I dropped the truck off- I parked the front of the truck literally within 3" of the entrance door and left a rather "violent" note on the dash- and yes, he will be verbally assaulted tomorrow morning at 9am...

by the way- for anyone who doesn't know, my truck in on it's 3rd transmission within the past 5 months and is now back at the shop to be repaired again by "Uncles Transmission" in smithfield Ri. - the people who can't seem to competently install a chevy automatic tranny in my Avalanche truck... I have to bring it to them because they were the original installers and it's their warranty.

So fwiw- stay away from "Uncles Transmission" -

Great pics. Looks like you had a blast!

Was it all/mostly wet lands or was there a good mix of terrain? How many miles did you put on?

Did you need to register? Can you head out there without a guide? How long does it take to get there (when your truck doesn't break down)...Not too soon to consider an ATV trip for next year.

it was mostly grassy open trails with lots of puddles- the mud is thick. Some of the trails were very tight- troyboy would like them!
Not many rocks or roots which was nice. You'll get a better idea once you see the vids. Overall- I think we did around 350 miles- a lot of it was spent in the mud

as far as registering- I don't think there was a municipal station within 50 miles- there's nothing out there! Crossing the border was nothing both ways- all they wanted to know is if I was coming home with the atv. We did 2 night rides- and it's a bit scary at times!
I would not go out there without a guide- luckily my father in law grew up in the area and had a good knowledge base of the trails, and we used a gps- there are lots of trails that are 10 miles long that just end. Logging roads are everywhere! It took us about 13 hours to get there- about 825 miles from douglas.

It's funny- there are lots of atv's up there. We kept seeing them riding down main roads and I didn't see any plates on any of them.

The wildlife was awesome! Kinda bummed I didn't see any moose, everyone else did though. I did see at least a dozen porcupines oh- and we had fox almost eating out of our hands- cute little fellas!

I moved up to nova scotia for a few years. The maritimes are a AWSOME place to ride. You see tons of wildlife like in beerguts pic. and the trails seem endless. It was easy to ride hard for the weekend and not back track. If you get the chance to make the trip it is a must.
People would use there atv for local transportation. I worked on a fishing boat and all of the deck crew would ride there atv to work year round. Almost no one would have tags on the quads. The rcmp would show up at the warf and would not even look back a lot full of atc/atv.
There was never any trail police or law to bother you as long as they did not catch you on the highway. Great place to ride!

Canada seems like it would be a lot of fun! I'm sure we all would love to get up there at some point! We will definitely have to look into some trail systems up there. (www.bvatvclub.com) Ride on!
