Just wondered how many people out there have been to Idaho, and what they thought of the dunes?

 

I've never been but I hear they're unbelievable! I've also heard that there are "soft spots" that can get you in trouble. I've got a trip planned around Thanksgiving. Hope you can ride 'em with snow on 'em!

 

Jeff don't plan on riding to much in the snow, most of the dunes are closed that time of year because a herd of elk reside there in the winter, I hear there are huge fines and possibly getting your ride impounded by the local rangers, the best time to hit St Anthony is anytime between memorial day and labor day, the place is awesome!! there are some pics of a couple of the bigger hills and of "choke cherry" on my web page http://www.angelfire.com/ut/sandslingin
