New Year Resolution:
Started already day 1, Did 300 set up before ever getting out of bed, then some cowbell lifts (really painful so didn't do too many, need to work my way up slowly, day by day) (haven't worked out with them in a long time) then jog in place, in fast pace, all before doing anything else, ''that's where the new resolution comes in'', i've been everyday doing setups, leg lifts so no biggie/difference. What I did this morning differently, and will try to continue doing this year, is getting on the exercises before doing anything else! Like up until now, priority #1 was the coffee making & drinking/breakfast/sitting on ***, then later on during the day doing exercises. I'M DRIVING MYSELF/MAD AT MYSELF since I gained nearly 10 #'s over the holidays, Add my setting inside, since winter arrived, not healthy! Which leeds to snacking more while watching tv/pc....ouch puts on pounds! Being retired can make one lazy, especially w/ winter blazs/blues and by my waiting later on in the day to get up and exercise after eating/drinking during the day, I think has led to the belly jiggle/love handles, excluding the love making lol Hey maybe that might help with workout schedule lol Anyways my goal is to be in good shape to be ready for some terrific hard rides, during this new year!! Yeah!! Push it real good!! Puss'E real good lol
What a coincidence. I did all that too, but double. Darn it! I just broke my resolution about not lying anymore.
It really works if you just do one thing....just start! Just do one minute, that's it!! Everyone has one minute to spare, try it.
What has worked for me for over a year already! is to pick a time when I'm not doing anything else, like when setting on my behind normally watching the tube, and I really forget I'm even doing exercises, and before I know it, I got in a few sets finished, with leg/arm/neck/hand/wrist which is where I mostly need help. Or first thing after getting up. I was getting a shot in joints every 3 mo until I started workout and since my last visit over a year ago, I haven't needed anymore meds of any kind, except for an occasional Motron, but only after a hard ride on the trails for example. Not bragging because I'm in big disbelief myself, thinking any day the pail will return, but so far so good. The dr. was telling me for years to work those joints, while I was in such disbelief, because I was thinking, why would working already very painful bone on bone, wearing on the two parts together, made no sense to me....bull.... right? Wrong it went away as soon as i started doing the movement of those areas! The only thing I'm doing different now for the NEW YEAR is getting on my workout before doing anything else, not even coffee, right after getting out of the sack! So far day 2, and I'm still at it lol Will see....
The hardest part of getting started is just getting mad at yourself, and just doing a few lite movements and stop!! Don't do another one for an entire day, which tricks your mind into thinking dam that was easy, didn't take away any of my precious time, didn't hurt, I can do this, and you actually look forward to keep going trying to out pace yourself, a little bit at a time, only going until you feel pain, and stop, then wait a few min to begin again, or just wait till tomorrow, but get right back on that horse and you'll be really proud of yourself over time and you'll be like me in disbelief, but knowing like for me for over a year now it's working on the belly fat, sore joints, feeling better about myself! Losing 55# was also a reward in itself! Its not to where I might keep doing this, it is to where I have to keep doing it for so many reasons, and its enjoyable! JUST DO IT!! Just one minute's worth! You'll feel better, look better, play better lol
This time last year we were ice fishing out on detroit river, already w/ 10 of solid ice, all night long! What's happening to our winter??? We had a shitty fall as well! Our seasons are getting screwed up, cold fall, warm winter! Mo sno please!
Found front bumper w/ hardware and helmet for a very good price same seller, w/ free shipping, with seller receiving tons of positive reviews! Needed snowmobile helmet to help keep d'ol cranium from freezing off lol I even needed a warmer helmet on our last fall trip up north, while cruising down trails/roads at higher speeds! Will really come in handy, while out plowing all this snow we've been getting....just kidding about all this snow....ain't none....Zero/Zilch/Zip/Nada but its coming? right Michiganders? need snow! need snow!
But not today! Today's temps getting close to 50, no clouds, bright sun, WARM considering were into our deep freeze season lol. Great though for taking down xmas decorations/lights. Also been waiting to for warmer day to brush down inside fireplace chimney from way up on steep roof! I'll even take out our iguana and pet turtle for some needed uv rays! They've been getting outside about once a week, so far this milder winter, whenever there's sun and little wind to bask in. I might even get the quads out for a good power washing.... just because I can lol Going to be pretty nice tomorrow too! I'm outta here!! lol Have a good one yourself!
Why the bumper? Will you plow fit with the bumper on? Make sure the helmet is big enough to allow a stocking hat or such underneath....ask me how I know...yep gonna take advantage of this early spring....take out the trash and go for a ride, our little ShihTzu loves going for a ride in the buggy, when she hears it....no stopping her until she is on board.
I saw some snow today where I normally park my truck. It was enough to make a snowball or two, so I pushed it out in the sun. I assume it disappeared but had no reason to check on it.
I had a great day too! I did the same thing with our 2 pets, getting them outside for awhile (iguana & yellow slider) and wished I had my video camera on the ready, when after basking outside for almost an hour, they were making their way back to the house, side by side, knowing the way back, since they get out often lol, so funny!!
I also went for a ride on both atv's, around the property here, after washing waxing and detailing them. Sure felt good to get em out for awhile, some winter, were not having here lolI I guess I'm not complaining, even though with this great weather day, I would still have traded it for a good 2' of snow to play in, and plow, how nuts is that, right? lol We only have one month before our weather normally starts thinking about getting ready for spring, even though we are often surprised to get a decent amount of snow up till mid April!
I thought my Honda TRX450r was a big monster ride, when buying it a year ago, and it's still faster than greased lightning, lite/quick/nimble! but compared to this new KQ it's like day and night in comparison! My son and grandson clocked the Suzuki KQ racing down our short block, start to finish at 51 mph before breaking at stop sign! And that's with the heavier 12'' Spartans rear tires! They said they were sure it still had plenty left in her if the block was longer before being forced to break at stop sign! lol
The TRX450 on right is 380# and seemed heavy to me having owned many 2 strokes, yet the KQ 750 weighs double that and twice as big, yet its remarkably almost as agile out on trails!

This is usually the coldest month of the year with an average high temperature of 30 degrees and an average low of 15 degrees locally. We should also have 13 inches of snow this month and 48 inches for the whole winter. It's still above freezing (36) at midnight but cooling off. Detroit should be having average highs of 31 and lows of 19 in January. February should be 1 degree warmer during the day and 1 degree colder at night there.
Well I guess mother nature has started smoking some of that legal weed you folks passed in the last vote! I guess we can figure on the weather being totally screwed up now ....but be sure it is for medicinal purposes only!
