Minimum riding age at Chadwick and Deepwater?
#1
Was looking at some info on Chadwick and it said the min. age to ride was 14 if you were with an adult. Does anyone know if this is enforced? And is there a minimum age at Deepwater? My son is 10 so I would like to know if he would be allowed to ride or not at either place. Also do you need any special equipment at either place, such as a tall flag on the back of the atv?

I have yet to ride Chadwick, so, I can't give you an answer on it. The one time I was at Deepwater there were alot of youngsters riding. The onlt rule I know of at Deepwater is to not ride on the roads, other than that its up to you. There is a large group going to be riding Deepwater on April 12-14. I hope to be able to make it on the 13th. If you would need dirctions, give me an E-Mail and I will hook you up right to the parking lot.

I have had my 8 and 10 year olds at Chadwick several times. No problems. Just make sure you buy a permit and get a map. Many of Chadwick's trails are too difficult for younger children. Be sure not to overestimate their ability while you have fun.
I believe the trail difficulty is accurately described in the map relative to the park. The difficulty is determining which trail you are actually on. I ride in the Missouri hills all the time and yet somehow still get disoriented at Chadwick when off the primary loop.
Have fun, be safe. I've yet to be at Chadwick on a Saturday where at least two ambulances have not been carrying someone away.
