I havent been to the forums for awhile and was wondering if anyone has heard anything about hillsville, is it open? will it ever be open? just in general what is the problem out there? The sad thing is that I am only 20 minutes away from it but it isnt driving out to just to see it closed and get all pissed off. Any info would be appreciated. thx

 

The last I heard was that it was turned into state game land and that you could be in some real trouble if you get caught riding there. Some of the locals that have ride in/ride out access are still riding there but forget about driving over and unloading. The authorities (local cops/game wardens?) will wait by your truck for you to come back.

 

its been locked down son if you get snagged it's a 500 dallor fine..oh wait that's what it was befor mmm like the the other guy said don't bring a truck if you can't ride there from a frined's house that's close don't do it

 

These guys are right. You can't park anywhere in plain sight without getting nailed. There are locals still riding (I've seen em), but it's an expensive gamble. Part of it is Game lands now, so the warden can get you, too.

 

Was just there last weekend. There was a group of us, 5, and another group we seen riding there. That was it. We seen no authorities but a lot of signs. Its sweet having the whole place practically to yourself, not worrying about other people running into you. But we are unloading at in Bessemer township and riding in.
