Street Legal Quads?

Ya Know, this might turn into a nice little enterprise and really tick off the powers to be, because if something is road registrationalble they can't give you a hard time can they?
I am very interested in staying active on this. I would imagine one of the things would be a long enough wheel base so it would be stable at highway speeds. If you come across this Buell ATv send me the info or e-mail me at atvpilot2003@yahoo.com

On the BMW I saw a price of $23,000 to $25,000. I don't remember where but I saw something else like it that Harley-Davidson has part of that looked like an inclosed one seater that is said to get wicked mpg and go around 100mph, I think its price was around $14,000. Might as well just by a motorcycle, they have already proven themselves and cost less while looking good.

Where I am from DOT tires and a safety certificate is all you need. It is also Interesting to note that Arctic Cat makes a Street Legal ATV, that is currently only sold in European Markets, it is a 300 single 2x4 with Street Tires, Aluminum Wheels, turn Signals, reaer view mirrors, and a Parking Lock, otherwise it is identical to my Offroad version.

Ok, I got an update on what I found out with the popo's around here. Turns out, one of the family friends is with the Highway Patrol. I dont know if this is just something that is done in SC or if its a common law, but, the law around here considers an atv a "farm vehicle"....such as tractors...which are(much to my dismay) allowed on the road. But get this....in order to be considered a farm vehicle.....(I kid you not) it has to have a reflective triangle on it. Its that simple.....so he says...but I dont belive it. IF it were the case...I wouldnt hesitate, but I think Ill go back to him and get that in writing just in case i ever got stopped. I think a "permission slip" of some kind from the local cops would be more than enough. But it wouldnt hurt to try to register the ATV as a piece of farm equipment(wink wink) and insure it as well. Gentlemen....I give you a loop hole in the law...I really believe this may be the answer to the problem.
NOW I got a new question....how do I put 14" 100 spoke knockoffs on a quad?
