Weekend after next meaning....19 and 20th.? That would be perfect for me. Haven't heard a peep from mudslinger since he went to Oregon. Hope he's alright. Keep lurking....Pastor

 

Hey Ragged....get ready...we are going into some....incredible country on Sat. You absolutely want to pack your .357 As we are going into what is known as "the grizzly bear recovery zone." Also, I am told that there is the highest density of cougar there than anywhere else in the state. Looking forward to it. Lets roll....Pastor

 

Sounds like fun Robie said shes going to stay home but I may bring Zack he'll just ride with me. We'll see.. I do need to be home no later than 3:30-4 pm.

Actually that weekend : 20 & 21 st. is the weekend that I was talking about which would be weekend after next. leaving on a thurs. night ( if possible) and returning sat. night. We should have no problem getting you back at that time tommorrow....unless you get eaten by a bear or something....Pastor

 

Ragged...The ride today was inexplainable! Everything that a good ride is...we had today. I talked to my nieghbor about the particular area that we were in ...he said a "record" was taken from a place close to where we were. He knows the guy and is going to get his phone # for me. It was a great ride! I been along time since I've seen that much wildlife. Sure glad I got a good winch on that Sportsman just incase that Vinson has any log or creek crossing problems...ya know what Im sayin?[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif[/img]

Ragged....There is an article on the front page today of the Spokane newspaper. It is steering towards atv restrictions , not of lands but of the machines themselves. The newspaper over the lsat several years has been anti-atv. This nonsense about needing a winch "to help ot the Vinson" is harmless banter however, in reality, and I hope that your wife gets to read this....the winch was installed with thought of helping out dad in his meanderings through the woods. Don't forget: the winch is on your wifes rig! Lets get our calendars together for the next journey into the wilderness. Pastor

 

Well guys...I'll neve depend on 2 $10 straps to hold a $6000 rig on the trailer again![img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-mad.gif[/img] When coming home saterday....the stiching holding the hook on the strap let go and when I was pulling up to a stop sign oner the front it came! Falling onto its handle bars and and grinding under the trailer untill I could get it stopped!! It wiped off the throttle lights and ripped the front fender almost clear off!!!

Im putting on 4 HD straps from now on..... I wish I had a winch on the rear also...Id like to see it break a steel cable!

Not sure of a plan for the week end but Im going to stick kinda close....Where you guys riddin?

I've been following this thread for a while, waiting to post till I got my machine. Finally happened last week, a 2003 Griz. Any of you up for a ride in the next couple of weekends? I'm living by Jewel Lake, thats Southwest of Sandpoint.
