Yeah you would think after all those years Poo Poo would have a non belt slipping system with all wheel engine braking.
But they are stuck trying to make things so complicated you have to take it to the dealer to get it worked on.
I look foward to the day I can go on a ride without one Poo Poo breaking down or slipping or burning a belt.

I think you missed the point Pastor. I think everybody offers a automatic today. The point I was making was we have one company who has nine years of experience VS a company with over 20. There is no opinion in this matter. It is fact. The opinion comes in play where my comfort level was with somebody who had done it for twice as long. That extra warranty sure is a bonus. I'll give you that. That is appealing. However, all companies do things for a business reason. We can all offer theories on what that reason. My theory is BRP compared to the other boys we talk about is the newbie when it comes to ATVs. So they have to offer something to provide a comfort level to a person getting ready to plunk down some good change. It comes in the form of a warranty. Perhaps I am mistaken and it is because they know that they really won't have to make good on that offer. That would be good. Regardless, I'm glad your happy with your purchase.
As far as service goes, I do read the Bomb threads on this site and I can say that your opinion is not shared by all your fellow Bomb owners. You of course know that as you have participated in those same threads. Matter of fact, some are citing it as a huge problem. I don't know that it is or not. Just thought it was funny you bring it up We can post some links into the Bomb threads. We can most likely find some in the Polrais as well. I'm just curious what you base your information on considering you don't have a Polaris and looking at your past bikes, have never had one. If it's based on a he said/she said, we can he said she said the Bomb too. Matter of fact, although it's not the best example I can find it is an amusing one all the same as a appetizer:

You yourself are pointing out there is a lot of talk about how bad customer service is with BRP. LOL. You are one crazy fella Pastor. Are you stirring the pot again?
In regards to the belt slipping on the Polaris...well maybe that is true. However I'll tell you what. I can get any belt to slip on any ATV. Regardless. Guess what I found out? Remember me talking about my Suzuki that I sold and the belt slipping on it? Guess what? The guy who has it now...well he has towed a COUPLE OF CARS with it. LOL. Do you think that might have something to do with it? Oh that was funny. Good guy. He's just nuts.

In all the 25,000 miles I have logged on quads I have yet to go on a ride with Poo Poo's in the group where
A.........One didnt break down
B.........One didnt have to turn back due to a burnt or slipping belt
C........One didnt have to be towed back to the truck
D.......One could follow the rest of the quads in the group
E.......Any or all of the above

LOL...yeah. Whatever Kodiak. Like that is even remotely believable. In 25000 miles worth of ATV rides you have never been on a ride where those things didn't happen? Thats just pure BS. Nobody makes that bad of a Quad. Not even Kymco. Good flamebait though. I took it I always do though. Just can't stop myself.

hey guys, I won't be at the meeting on tuesday as I am off to Florence,Oregon this afternoon for my dad's 70th. b-day and Dad's day. I am having major DT's with my bike in the shop still. Will have it back for the ride on the 8th though and ALLSPORT will never see my beautiful face or money again. I rented a dune buggy for the sand one day and four wheelers the next. I have never ridden the dunes or in sand so I look forward to it. Will take the camera and try to post the pics if they are worth it. I also rented a Dodge Charger for the trip as it would cost me at least 500 bones in gas in my big V10. If I get back without a speeding ticket I will be impressed with myself but I will probably get tagged. I have a radar det. but I hear that they have planes that will get you too. See ya at the ride.

AHEM...yeah sure Kodiak I hear that trolling motor. Won't be at least any bites on that bait for at least 15 minutes there mister!
Anywhooo...in what can only be called I can't resist the opportunity to shoot myself in the foot now that the muscle relaxors have kicked in, this little tidbit was rather interesting:
"Bad kitty!" shouted Mr. Market. "No mice for you."
That's how investors reacted to Arctic Cat's (Nasdaq: ACAT)May 2 news that it was lowering guidance for fiscal Q4 2006; the stock price got dropped 9% over the several succeeding days. Official results on the quarter are due out tomorrow morning.
What analysts say:
* Buy, sell, or waffle? Five disappointed analysts are stuck with the task of herding this equity feline. Just as in January, four of them rate it a hold. The one new rating is a sell.
* Revenues. Analysts are looking for a 2% decline in quarterly sales, to $154.4 million.
* Earnings. Instead of last year's profit, they expect a $0.04 per share loss tomorrow.
More boring finances stuff edited out...
But to put the company's news in context, remember that archrival Polaris (NYSE: PII) isn't exactly rolling in the catnip these days, either. In March, Polaris reported its own troubles moving snowmobiles. Worse, when Polaris reported earnings in April, it fessed up to an 8% decline in ATV sales. Guess we know now from whom Arctic Cat has been "gaining ATV market share."
Ouch. Times...they are a chagin. My honest two cents, as much as I hate to throw a log on the Pastors fire (least I can do after giving you such a bad time and all) is that BRP is porking up more market share. That and the Honda die hards that never will buy anything else. Myself, I would go with the BRP before the Honda.
I think the whole ATV landscape has changed. At least from 6 years ago. Used to be Polaris gained market share pretty much year after year. Oh well. I don't care if it is the most popular. I'm a happy camper. And one that is willing to tell FACTS. Even when they don't suit my agenda. I'm feeling nappy. Nappy and hungry.

800Twin EFI....You cited that I was critical of BRP's service...not me....I did start a thread asking how others had faired with warranty issues. I was simply wondering . I have had NO issues with this bike. Nada. The fact that Polaris has been at this a lot longer than BRP should reveal that Polaris gave up on R&D...a long tim ago. Sure, BRP is 9 yrs. old with Quads...so....they are MORE than making up for it.
I'm ready to throw up the white flag...lets ride!
