I would add to the cocophony of voices sounding off against Polaris...but, will exercise some control...for now.

My poo is too new to know if it is something I will regret or not. Time will tell. So far I'm pretty happy. It's not perfect. I would at this point give it a A-. But I do think there is a very good chance my next Quad will not be a Polaris. Time will tell. I have had three. I have had a Yamaha. I have had a Suzuki. I would like to try something different on the next go. I really like to ride them all. I find things I like about all of them. Like I have said before, I would really like to have one of all of them. I still have not rode a Honda. I suspect it will run longer than the majority. But I have heard they are a stiff and rough ride. I can say in all honesty, the 2000 Polaris Trailboss I sold to some friends has never given them a single problem and still runs today. Time will tell on the 800.

Then again you have had yours for a year or so haven't you Ragged? How many miles have you racked up?

Also curious...where is Thompson Creek? I have read posts about this place a couple of times, but honestly don't know where it is. A quick google reveals a Thompson Creek near Challis...this isn't the same one I am reading about on here is it?

BTW I hope none of you bashers out there are dealers.

Thompson Creek is the area to the North of Newman Lake. Most of the area is on Inland Empire Paper Company land, and requires a permit. Most, if not all of it is relatively improved logging roads, and few if any off road trails. The area gets used heavily and turns to dust in the summer and fall. The road system will give you access to Spirit Lake and Twin Lakes if you follow the map. The map that they provide you is tough to read and even tougher to tell where you can get access to! All that said, it's much better than sitting at home reading posts on the computer.

Thanks for the info. I'll have to check it out. I have seen that map you are talking about and it is tough to read. I recently got a GPS myself which might help. I always lose my sense of direction out there.

How do you like that Kawi?

Anyone interested in starting a Northeastern Washington ATV Club? I think it is an idea whose time has come. I would see this as a VERY positive thing to work in conjunction with state agencies. Spoke with one of the top guys from Colville Nat. Forest. VERY nice guy and sincerely interested in making things better for ATV'rs. I would see this as a club that could work closely with the N. idaho ATV Club. What do you guys think...I think Ragged is the man!

Just wanted to say that there is a whole of polaris bashing going here and I would like to add my 5 cents. I have been nothing but happy with my scrambler. I have ridden the **** out of it for 5 years and have had nothing but maintenance to deal with. Until now that is, but given the fact that my bike has many thousands of hard miles packing my fat *** around on it, I happen to think I got a good atv.

Now for the really bad news. Just got a call from Timmy at allsport and after all that crap I went through with them. He informs that my bike is ready and that the grand total is $1066.00. HOLY CRAP....... we had it out on the phone and he said it was shop charges when I asked him what happened to the 600$ quote after I went down there and we scaled back the work. I will NEVER go to ALLSPORT again for anything. They have lost my trust and business. It's as if they were bound and determined to rip me off. I am sooooo frickin pissed I can't see straight.

Scramlher...Can you see now why Polaris bashing is deserved? In all honesty, sorry to here about the apparent rip off...I have been hearing alot of negative things about Allsports lately. It's like money is more important than people...when this happens mark it down...a fall is coming. Ultimately, the word gets out and people won't shop there.

Just get Eric to take a look at this website and ask him if ripping you off is worth getting known as a bad dealership?

What did they fix?

Pastor, I think that the dealerships are the key to all this. Why don't they pay for a one year membership to the local ATV club whenever a person buys a new quad, or even spends X number of dollars on equipment? The dealerships have a lot to either lose or gain by ATV's being banned or not banned in the forests, and yet they don't even spend the extra $20 to see that the new owner knows about the local clubs. Have you ever seen advertising on the walls of a dealership encouraging ATV owners to join a club and stand up for their rights? Neither have I.

How about letting people know about sights like this one when they buy a new quad. Of course Allsport may not want to do that one eh?
