I have ridden to the top more times than you have changed sox and I can assure you that you named yourself after it, (in typical Californian import fashion) rather than the other way around[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img]

You will find the same thing with Polaris bump or hill or whatever they call the little gopher mound.

The folks in Nepal asked Bombardier if they could rename their mountain "the Bomb", but were refused and so it is still Everest.

I went on a fun little 70 mile jaunt up around Fernan last weekend. That was my first ride up there and while it was indeed beautiful, seemed like I spent at least 80% of the time on forrest service roads. Which is ok for a while but gets rather boring. That and the site is indeed popular as there were lots of other riders up there. Are there good ATV trails up there and I just missed them? I mean good long trails. With some nice terrain. I did find some good less traveled logging roads. Lots of those. Which I enjoy much more than the plain old forrest service road.

Jay, I MISSED YOU............I have sooooo much to tell you about work? I will try you at home but if you haven't talked to me by the time you read this. Call me.......I wish I would have known you were home I would have asked you to ride with me today. I couldn't stand it, I was standing there this morning drinking my java and scrammie screamed "ride me" so I went to 3 rocks and rode the creek and new trails that we haven't been on. I got turned around at 2 places because I had to cross the creek that was both steep rock on the other side and I was alone and didn't want to flip it with no one there. We'll go next weekend right?????? and anyone else can too. It's Inland paper property for those that don't know we park at the top of blanchard pass. Someone has gone up and cleaned it up. I only picked up 4 pieces of trash!!!!! That's a first.....I was happy and proud that others clean up too.
Anyway, scrammie is running like a ***** being chased by a pimp. I cannot believe what a valve job will do for a bike. O.K. plus clutch plates a belt and a new chain that I had a bitch of a time getting on. BUT I DID IT BY MYSELF!!!!!Well, I've got to go BBQ a tri-tip steak and have a few libations. What a blessed day..............

 

Ragged, have you ever ridden the Champion creek trail? It takes you up behind Stevens lakes and over into St. Regis basin. Can ride there from Elsie lake, but will be a long haul. I dont mind, but will caution all that the trail to get there is very narrow. If you are not at happy with skinny trails, this may not be for you.

 

Hey Nancy, did ya see me out in the field today as you drove by? Every time I head up to three rocks lately I get lost, them loggers sure are making lot's of new roads!!! Glad to hear you got the ol' Polaris running right again..........later............Wiz

Wiz, I did see you on the tractor yesterday. I waved out the window on my way up but you must not have been lookin. You were facing the road though and only about 200 yards down. Jay and I are going to go on an evening right tonight up there. If you are not haying (it has to dry right?) It would be fun if you met us up there for some cervezas and a view. We want to go after the heat of the day. I am meeting Jay at his house at 5pm and we will be up there by 6 or so. Probably at the rocks by 6:30. If you get this let me know if you can make it. Anyone else want to go?????

 

The 8th is coming up fast, so we should all decide what kind of ride we want to do. Easy, hard? There are both types of trails around Elsie, so lets get a plan and stick to it. If hard, I would say if ya dont like narrow trails than this aint for you.
Ragged, maybe the reason we don't see GWP anymore is that little tip over caused brain damage and he can't figure out how to run the puter? Just a guess, but that was as nasty a slow roll as I've seen.lol
Went for a ride last night and saw 6 bears and a bull moose. Good night for animals I guess.
