Flit, what can you tell me about "black canyon"?...is that in your neck of the woods?

 

Kodiak, how far up Red Oak did ya ride? Can you get all the way thru to Stevens Peak?

 

We rode up to the cross and then back down past the mine to the Avery side of the moon pass road.
There is a big drift off the cross so comming back out that way might be iffy.
Other then that one huge drift I think a group could make it if they worked together.

 

Does anyone have any input on what type of ride they want to do on the 8th? I am up for anything, as long as we ride.

 

xploreidaho........just mix it up a little...I dont think theres anyone scarred if the trail is a bit difficult...nobody in going to take any unnessary chances anyway...besides...Ive realy seen that much there that shouldnt be riddin anyway..

Ragged, can get you to there from Elsie, wont be able to see Stevens lakes unless you hike some, but can see St. Regis lakes and basin.

 

Pastor---As far as I know and a guy here at work told me, yes, it is in my neck of the woods. It is a few miles to the south of a berg called Northport. That is all that I know. I do have some kinda directions on how to get close to it.

Not a chance...the ONLY reason why I would bail on you is this ..."problem" of yours. It seems like every time I get around you...I see an upside down "P" on your forehead. However, there is help available!

The ride up to Elsie yesterday will rank as one of the best rides I have ever had. All types of riding difficulty, views galore and absolute wilderness setting. The lake itself was incredible. I was wishing for a fishing pole. We need to pack in tents, bags and food and do an overnighter in there. Also, the stevens lakes looks very interesting. I will be there on the 8th. My brother also is coming. lets ride!!!

 

Ragged, don't need a topo, I have ridden those trails all a dozen times. I will take a run up there this weekend and plot our route. Pastor, love the idea of a camp out. We used to do one every year up Burke, lots of fun. I will have a good ride ready for the 8th. Lets ride!
