Boy it died in here...I have been working too much lately...
How did the ride go? Or did it?
Havent had my wheeler out in a long time. Shoot last time was with you up at Big Creek. It is just sitting there. I have vacation coming up on the 20th I am going for a night ride Saturday night into sunday morning. SHould be fun. Possibly going into Selway Idaho and riding into Montana. Depends on how the forest fires are doing.

The wife and I took out the brother-in-laws Rhino out this weekend. NO FUN. That thing is the dustiest thing I have ever been on. Granted the trails were dusty, but the Rhino just sucked it up from behind the seats and covered us with dust. You could not get this dusty riding an ATV even if you followed 5' from the wheeler in front of you.

Welcome home every one!! Where have you all been??
Did a last minuite ride after work today with a couple good buddies that just purchased new quads.....One bought a new Poalris sportsman 500 and the other a new 800 Outlander....We rode out of Mullin up to the top at Steavens Lakes....WOW!!!!!!....That stuff is HUGE!!! We came back down in the dark but what a great area....we'll have to do that again soon!!
Anyway.....I got to really put alot of seat time on the Out lander....in steep rocky climbs, in steep down hills, fast down the trail....out of level trails ....and last but not least....drag racing on the road...
And here is my unbiased opinion...Im still riding the best all all around bike...lol...did you think I would say any thing else??
The outlander 800 is by far the faster bike...It is quicker off the line up to about 30mph then I would hold the 5-6 distance with out it pulling any farther away...but we both left the line carring the wheels 1-2 foot high and about 20 ft.
but I bought the bike for the trail not drag racing...and when on the trail the Outlander has a much heavier stearing..tight in comparison to the Poo...and in the real bumpy stuff you got more feed back to the handle bars...The rear suspention was some what stiffer but it may have just been set up that way for the guy....
It was not nearly as stable feeling as the Poo in both off camber situations or in going fast down the trail...It may be a little more narrow....
the owner of the new Outlander even said himself the Poo was much more comfortable and stable feeling ....But the smooth power from the Outlander was definatly impressive.....Im sure it is a good bike...and fun to ride....but if your looking for a powerfull bike that will give you the best most sure footed ride on the mountain trail....you realy need to ride a Polaris 800.....
Not tryng to flame anyones bikes..just giving an honest opinion after a couple of hours riding the Outlander in some very diverse situations
