I hope your tow rig has a shower. Because you're gonna get covered in sand by wshrdskin's roost.

Hey wshrdkin,
Why are you so worried if I'm running alky or have over 500cc. Cant your 686 keep up with a 580 predator? Dont be scared -- It's only a Polaris...

Steve,
I appreciate your concern. I'm a very watchful and tutorial father. Both my sons have been riding since they were about 5 years old. They both Handle either of my Raptors as well as most. They don't ride alone and only ride in controled areas with me either following or leading them through the dunes and if I'm following there is another adult rider leading. The drags up the hills obviously I am not as in control of what they do. They ride smart and I have no concerns. They respect the quads they ride and the dangers involved. There is risk in every day life. I obviously don't want any harm to come their way but, I also want them to have fun. Riding an LT80 until they are sixteen is not gonna happen. Thanks for your concern.
Color, I knew you wouldn't take up the offer.
Here's my son racing that same DS up Comp hill Dumont on my Raptor. For everyones entertainment.
Justin, your worst nightmare. LOL 1.3mb

I'm not. This thread was about losing to a stock predator. Read earlier posts. I said if the guy was lieing about his mods may be the reason this person lost. You claim to have just a slip on and your king of the hill. If you shoot strait you'll get strait responses. A 580 may very well win the races you claim to have won, especialy on alcohol. But then you haven't stated that have you. You don't worry me however, 580 or not.

Your raptor looks pretty slow. No doubt my pred would eat it up. I knew you wouldnt/couldnt answer my question.

wshrdskin,
That is good that you are that watchfull over your kids. Im sure you know that some are not like that. at sand mt, ut i always see 8-10 year old kids riding banshee modded to hell with their parents no where in site. you are definatley right about not riding an lt80 untill they are 16 that is a little rediculous. i didn't mean to sound holier than thou if that is what you are thinking. just wanted to make that clear.

Steve,
No, I didn't recieve your post as a "Holyer than thou" reponse. I respect others opinions and concerns. After all, should my son or others kids get hurt the tree huggers and others will be all over it for fuel for their fire. I know the level of riders my sons are and allow them to ride according to their abilitys. Check the pismo videos if you'd like to see Justin jumping a Banshee and St Anthonys for a little jumping as well.
PS, your not the first to question me about the age of my kids riding full size qauds, you went about it in a more respectful way however, thanks again for your concern.

Bulldogz400 is right don't just come on here and say this guys sucks now if he got beat by a warrior I can maybe justify the YOU SUCK comment but a predator is a bad a. machine as is the raptor. If I had the money I'd have my z400 for trails and a raptor to drag and when I get used to riding on tracks I'd probably have the predator for racing. As for the original message I don't think the predator should have had a chance with your mods I'd say something is just wrong somewhere. I'd have a professional look at it or a really good friend who knows what he's doing. Like someone else said maybe the predator wasn't stock. Get you problem fixed and go back and smoke his a## before he does modify that predator. Peace z400

"Your raptor looks pretty slow"
LMAO, your just asking to get beat. But ill agree to a certain extent...ive only seen 2 raptors that id consider "fast" and yeah....most of you guys have a long way to go (not singling anybody out)

YAMAHOPPER, I have a question. What gearing are you running? Also, I didn't see you answer someone when they asked if it 'felt' stronger/faster after you got it back. After I smoked (I say smoked cause I was able to let off the throttle, have him catch back up, and smoke him again) my friends Raptor, I jumped on his bike. There was no mid to top end on it at all. We still don't know what's wrong, but there was no way that I should have beaten him that bad. I think that he was so used to riding it, and the power fell off gradually, he didn't notice it like I did. We still have no idea what the problem is, unless the jetting is off. That's our next step. Good luck with it, it should run away from a stock Predator.
