Ward, the black ex wasn't a 505 before when you saw him. He was just a 440. He had just gotten the motor together the week before going to Little Sahara. Then he poped the motor while he was there. Valve broke and slapped the piston and created this nice sized whole in the crank case. Not to worry though the new 516 is almost complete. Plus he decided to put another 505 together, just in case.

Hey Bigger, you know what I forgot all about MaxRaptor. Yeah he never did show up. I think it was someone messin with me.

 

Noticed some were talking prop. ox. for gas. I run nitro propane with very good increase in overerall power. I went up five jet sizes and run 8ounces to the gallon. I ordered some more jet and plan on going up five more jet sizes and running up to 16 ounces to the gallon. The increase in power was very noticeable and could not beleive the difference it made. Thought some maybe interested in this. (shhhh dont tell nobody) Word of advice: be careful with this stuff and have your jetting dead on or it will be up in smoke. SLIM

 

Slim, are you saying sizes as in 5 or 2.5??? Like 180 to a 185 is one size, or 180 to a 182.5 is one size???

 

I am running the dynojet kit and the biggest jet in the kit is a 150. The kind of jets that come in the kit go up in sizes by 2 numbers example 148/150. To get any bigger jets you have to order them from dynojet and after size 150 they go up each number by five example 155/160. When I go up this time in jet sizes I will be running sizes 195/200 dj jets; This is actually eleven sizes bigger than what I am suppose to be running according to the kit instructions for my alltitude which is 146/148. These have a nice size whole in them but you have to have this amount of extra fuel when running nitopropane. I also run a one number colder plug. SLIM
