Why does everyone knock the Warrior?

If the Warrior works out for you then that makes it a good quad for you.
The dollars don’t make a lot of sence to me though, for another 6-7 hundred dollars you would get a modern hot rod. When you ride the Warrior back to back with Z’s and EX’s you feel every one of those 17 unchanged years.
Even some 4X4 utilities handle better then the Warrior, and are a whole lot faster.
They do not deserve the bullet proof reputation either, my brothers has had several tranny/clutch issues and left him stranded more then once from a screwy carb that had to be replaced.
Yamaha could improve it a lot with a few simple updates, better weight distribution, improved shocks, couple more ponies from the motor, tuffer clutch, shave off a couple pounds, etc., but then the cost of a new Warrior would be even closer to the Z and EX.
They work great for trail duty, but there are much better quads now for about the same money. That’s where the ******* comes from, not necessarily the shortcomings of the quad.

I think warriors are great, you just have to be good enough to ride one. People buy 400ex's and such but im kickin there a$$ on a 1988 warrior...... I think it has alot to do with the rider myself..........

Hey warriors are bad. Y should Yamaha make a new 350 when the warrior is already on of the best selling atv's on the market. YEs its old but older is better because all the bugs are out of it and if they make a new 350 that is not perfect they have to spend another 10 years getting the bugs out of that one Well warriors are bad later
