Default Pro-Circuit T-4 Decibels.....

Does anyone know the decibel level of the Pro-Circuit T-4 Exhaust?? A new law takes affect here in CA starting July 15 which restricts the noise level to 101 Db's. if bikes are made before Jan. 1, 1986 and restricted to 96 Db's on bikes made after that same date. These rules are getting to be too much to handle....

I've seen test results that have the db rating as high as 107...seems a little high to me and way out of range for Cali. There is a "quiet core" insert available but don't know where that puts the db level at.

03waryer.....thanx for that site info. Unfortunately, it shows the T-4 is tested at 100 Db. That puts mine as illegal, but than again, how many times do you actually see a Ranger when your riding?? With my luck, they'll be there everytime I go out!! Thanx again!!...

Hey, how do you like the pro circuit t-4? Is it a clean sound? Is it crazy loud and annoying, or does it make a nice sweet exhaust note? Just curius, trying to figure out what I want to go with on my yfz. I was looking at the ti-4. Same thing, just titanium. Shave some more weight off my already lite machine! I heard the sparks are good, but I imagine they are not exactly quit. I'm sure they are pretty raspy and loud. could be wrong though?

135...the T-4 sounds awesome!! Like I said in the earlier reply, it is at 100 Db., so its loud, but not annoying. After re-jetting the Rappy, it really responds to throttle from low to high end. I would say "go for it" to anyone interested in it!!

Hey thanx, I think I am going to go with it!! I really likethe look of it. Now I just have to decide on the t-4 of the ti-4. I want to keep the weight down in the back of the yfz, cause I am puting the swing arm skid plate back there. I want thr ti-4, but its $100 more than the t-4. I don't know. Guess one puls on the ti-4 is there wont be much polishing! See ya later, thanks for the reply!
