okay i have a stock 2001 rappy, which u all know has the tranny problem, i hear it happens in 2nd, i only really notice it going into reverse it makes a weird noise, sometimes trying to go into 3rd it will go into neutral thats about it, im really scared its gonna end up costing my dad some big bucks, any suggestions? we might just trade it in cuz hully gully offered us about 4800 i think it was....

But yeah, it's going out on ya. False neutrals inbetween gears is a bad sign.

 

If I could get 4800.00 for it I would let it ride. The only thing about saleing it to somebody is if you know the trans. is messing up I wouldnt want to sell it without informing them of the problem; thats just me cause I wouldnt want anybody doing that to me. You can always keep it and do the tranny upgrade because it will eventually get worse. Good Luck Slim

 

I've also got an 01', but so far haven't had this problem. I've noticed that if I go from neutral straight to 2nd. its a little bit hesitant, but if I go from 1st. to 2nd. its fine. I know this is a little of topic, but Slim I see that your from Henderson. Where do you guys ride/race in your area? I'm looking for some flat track races also. yeah but im trading it in to the dealer, lmao i dont care if blows up on them, they prolly wont do anything about it if we told them...

 

Yeah if i were you i would trade it in becasue those 01's are said to be a big hassle. I've a lot about people spending hundreds on the tranny so i trde it in for an 02 and up while you have the chance.
