Default Installed 13:1 in my YFZ

Well I put in the 13:1 piston today but the gasket set will not be here until tomorrow. My yamaha dealer is messed up. I called them this morning to see if my piston was in and they said they where on backorder for 2 weeks so I had him cancell my order. I called a yamaha dealer back east and they had 1 in stock so I had them ship in next day air so I could have it running for the weekend. I go to the yamaha shop to get an oil filter for my quad and guess what he had? My piston showed up and he made me buy it since I ordered it which I guess is fair. The only part that sucks is I have 2 13:1 pistons, so if anyone is interested in it I will ship it to you for free. Email me if your interested. jeremypreston450@hotmail.com

13.1 sound good on a brand new YFZ, are you thinking about changing the cam?

No I am not going to change the cam because the duration and lift are the same as the yz bike cam all you have to do is retard it 1 tooth and it makes it timed just like the yz. The piston adds 1.5-3hp depending on where your at in the rpm range. YFZn has rode one and he said it has more torque and is a lot snappier. The piston cost 180.00 and I will ship it for free. The piston are very easy to change. If you can do the cam mod you can do this. The stock compression is 11:9

I am not sure, I do all my motor work. I would bet 150.00 I tore mine down in 1hr so the dealer should be able to do the whole job in 2hrs. Thats 100.00 at 50 dollars and hour. Pull the plastic before you go and it would not take them long at all.
