Heavy duty Rappy parts?

Heavy duty parts?
Well, my Rappy is finally almost done being fixed but I need to make sure it's gonna be as reliable as I can get it. I put the new Carrillo rod in and a heavy duty clutch kit but what else should be considered to keep reliability up? I was thinking a new one way because my starter already has problems with the high compression, is that a good idea? Any suggestions would be very helpful! Thanks!

Since no one is helpin you out, Im gonna post again! Craycraft just came out with the head stud kit for around $230. It is supposed to be bullet proof on hi comp engines. If you havent already got this I would check it out. Doubles the torque levels on all the bolts. You are already getting the Carrillo rod, so off the top of my head I don't know what else to suggest!

Also, how do you like your gears for draggin down at LS? I have heard alot of people tell me to get 14 front and alot of people tellin me to get 12 front. Thanks

You deffinatly want the 14 tooth. I had low gearing (12 tooth) right when I got the engine together and after I bumped it up it made all the difference in the world with speed and acceleration! If you have the HP to push high gears then deffinatly use them! My gearing right now is about as high as I want it, I can almost get 2nd gear starts so when I get it back I'm gonna add a couple teeth to the rear sprocket to see how that helps. About that studded gasket kit, I'm gonna use the Cosmetic ones I have now and when I rebuild it later I'm gonna try to get those (if I can). Thanks again.

I gotta question about that one way. Theres 2 things you can order, the kit and just the one way. The kit has the gaskets and the gear added on, is that just for if you already ruined your original one way? My one way is still in good condition so can I just order the one way and not the kit or do I need that gear and gaskets? Thanks.

BigBubba...look at the gear. The sprags inside the one way actually groove the surface on the gear. If it is rough or shows any signs of wear, replace it. Most people just buy the one way and dont know why it goes bad in a month..and it's simply because of the gear surface. If I were you, I would buy the kit.
