Default Bed liner on my Racks?

I'm going to paint my racks on my Kodiak with bed liner. I don't want to spend $100 on a rhino liner, because i won't need near that much paint. Any ideas anyone?

Default Bed liner on my Racks?

a friend of mine had the racks on his Rubicon done with bedliner. Only cost him $30 if I remember right. But after the guy was done with it, he said that he would never do it that cheap again. There is a lot of overspray that is wasted. There is a brush on type that may work better.

Keep in mind that you don't want to cover the area that comes into contact with your frame. He had troubles getting the racks back on after they were coated. I plan on getting a Rincon some day and having the racks done in either red or yellow (depending on which color machine I buy).

There was an ad in the local paper for a gallon of brush on liner for $48. I will be doing this to my trailer as well.

I can get a can of the spray stuff for $4 (cost) It retails for $12. 2 cans should do it, i'm gonna also do the rear footpeg bars, just to give it a uniform look.

I'd watch it on the trailer, i know that some bed liners say anti-skid and so on, but when they are wet it is a totally different story!!

the linex shop where i had my bed done will spray anything. there was a guy in there getting duct work for a grain silo in there. said it kept the ducts from wearing out so fast. 4 8inch (diameter) 90 degree elbows, and they charged 40 bucks. i know the bedliner has a lifetime warranty for scratches scraps, even it gets in a wreck, they'll respray it free.
