I found the header glows when its fatter. My pipe used to glow all the way back to the silencer until I rejetted and now it stops just after the bend.

Dangit. My entire header glowed. If it was fat then I still had some unlocked HP Oh well, live and learn.

Mine is stainless and havent had a discolored yet(2 Months). I had Sparks put the pipe and jet it while it was there and as far as I know I dont know whats in it for jetting but it gave me more power than my full WB R4 had for sure. As for the cutting out, I dont have that at all, but I do have the dying when idleing but I dont want to mess with it since it runs so good now. I can always up the idle if I want but it dont really bother me at all.

Also, as for the headers glowing, I wouldnt ride it tell that was fixed cuz a friend of ours was riding his bike at night and we could have seen that for about a mile and his bike didnt last one night of riding, it siezed in the middle of the dunes on a nice foggy night.

Mine only glowed when sitting at idle, never while riding. It did just fine, but whatever made it glow may not have been as bad as your buddies. In any event, the quad was sold to a yamaha dealer a few months ago so its all good. Thanks for the info though.
