Default Warrior carb problem

A buddy of mine has a yamaha warror, as we were riding last weekend the overflow tube on the carb was leaking bad. At first we thought no big deal until we noticed it would not stop. Ended up draining the whole tank. Any suggestions to the problem?

yes, easiest way to unstick the float (usually) is to hit the carb. I dont mean hard, just to free up the lil thing float inside. I usually smack it with the plastic end of a screwdriver.

Turn off your gas petcock on the tank first. Then drain the float bowl w/ the little screw on the bottom of the carb. Otherwise you can probably tap on the carb all day and will not free the floats. Your gas is coming from the overflow because the floats are not closind off the gas when the bowl fills up. If you don't drain your bowl the floats have a tiny bit of tension on them and likely will not free themselves. I flipped my Warrior a few weeks ago and had this problem. took a few minutes to figuire why they wouldn't become unstuck. Eventually got it. Hope this helps ya!

P.S. Just tap it with the plastic end of a screwdriver like JackalWarrior said. It doesn't take much so don't wail on it.
