Default Timing for my Warrior

I am putting my Warrior back together after replacing the cam, valves, springs, and piston. I bought the cam from Alba and when I put my lower end on TDC no matter what I do my TDC mark on my head is off. It is off just a little and if I move my cam sproket one tooth over the sprocket mark goes to the exact same place on the other side of the head mark. I am at a lost and I have taken apart my lower end and my cam chain is on the lower sprocket perfect. So, does anybody have any experience on this?

Are you trying to align it when you have the "T" lined up in the flywheel window.. or the "F". The T stands for "Top Dead Center" and is the one you want to use. The "F" is for use with a timing light and will actually be seen just a tad before TDC. If using the "F" for timing your cam, the cam mark will fall just a little to the left of the mark on the head.

Hope this helps.

Ride on.

Correction to the above, the cam mark will show just right of the head mark.

Sorry. lol.

Ride on.
