10-50 ain't bad....i would just ride it a weekend or two ...then change it[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img]

when i bought my raptor two months ago i asked the dealer what kind of oil they had in it, he said honda oil,they get it i 50 gl drums, so they use it in every machine there. use what you want i geuss. no automotive oil though.

I run 10w-40 amsoil for the colder weather, in jersey its in the 40's during the day, this being a warm week.

Default Yamalube R-4

you'll be fine with the 10W-50 Yamahalube 4R.. don't change it.. it has a more broad temp range coverage than the 20W-40 and will not harm your clutch. I've been running it out in Glamis now with two changes and a temp range from 40 to 80F.
