My banshee uses twice as much gas as my friends with mods does. Im running older toomys and a KnN 2into 1,
could some one tell me what the problem may be? Oh yea, the carbs are stock too. I bought the Banshee used and the only mods that I know of are the Pipes and Filter. can someone help?

 

Are your riding habits the same? Maybe you spend more time with the throttle burried to the stop than him.

 

Same riding habits, rode toi the hill then dragged the hill same amount of times and returned to camp.
his tank was almost 3/4s full and mine was almost empty.

 

Well, it may have the float level set too high and spilling out the overflow tubes or perhaps you are really rich.

 

Im running 300 jets, I was running 280s but it ran like crap on the bottom end. When iI switched to the 300s it cleared it up. How do you adjust the float level?

 

I use half-again more gas than my riding buddy but I've got 120lbs. on him. lol

 

I think it is because you have two carbs??? j/k

Does it smoke like hell at an idle up to quarter throttle?

If so then you have the slides in backwards, in other words the left carb slide in the right carb and vise versa.

 

No, it only smokes when its cold.
My shee wont idle when its warmed up, though.
it only idles when I first start it up after it has been sitting over night, so basicly when its cold.

 

I know somebody has the answer.
I have had alot of fix it advice from these forums before.
someone please help.

I have a set of pipes on mine and that is pretty much it and I run a 280 main no problems. I would check your carb maybe needs to be cleaned out and floats adjusted. Also you will have issues if your silencer is not packed that might be way you are running at a 300 main. With unpacked silencers you are pretty much running a straight pipe and will have no back pressure. Just a couple of thoughts no guarantees.
