Helmets? yes or No

Sister was on her bike, hit a large area of gravel and rock, head found the largest rock in the group ( sis has a hard head ) - SHE WAS WEARING A HELMET - impact CRACKED her helmet - not her head..... She sent the helmet back to manufacture with a letter thanking company for saving her life..... They sent her a thank you letter in reply and a New Helmet. She is a lot smarter than I ever gave her credit for and she is still around for me to pick on....

I wear a helmet 20% of the time.
And where I drag race at Hod Rod's, you are required to wear a helmet.
I don't like having my sight restricted. But it's fun to wear a helmet sometimes.

Now this one has to be some guy trying to bait an argument.. but my answer to this has got to be the obvious one..... Sorry guys and gals... I can't help myself....
Hey dude, the big opening goes in the front... not in the back for your pony tail...
HAAAA... I am sorry... This one was too easy to pass up... must be the pain killers I am taking today with the weather change... seriously though, it sounds like you need to find a different helmet. Some models have bigger openings and shouldn't be an issue if you have the right size and type.
While we are on the subject of safety, I'd like to throw in the chest protector and glove/boots for argument sake too. I am not saying you should spring for those million dollar moto-x boots on the shelf, but something over the ankle and not a tennis shoe. Chest protectors provide a lot of spinal protection, as well as the collarbone. Gloves are obvious... and most important, is eye protection of some form...

When was a youth i hated wearing helmets on my bike
Then as i progressed onto road bikes it was not an option.
and the habit stuck
i wear one all the time and i ride on sand almost all the time.
While kicking a banshees *** my low pressure tyre set up for sand got pulled off The rim while sliding into a corner
At about 60 mph. the bike flipped and my legs got trapped and it stuck me head first into the ground.
result Holes in both legs, busted helmet, assorted bent bits on 250r . bruising all along my forehead and A concusion so bad i lost 30% of my feild of vision for about 4-5 days and headaches for a month. (the surface was only packed down sand)
Conclusion In future i must remember to take into acount the set up i have before adrenilan encourges me to slay all yamahas
But its up to you if you have medical insurance and the tax payer doesent have to pay to fix you who cares.

woudn't ride without my helmet. the cost of wrecking your head is a lot worse then the cost of a helmet. and it makes atvers look bad and wreckless imo when they don't ware one. Well thats just my 2 cents and i'm 15 ware your helmet its a lot safer.
