Even on a quiet trail ride, unless it's on an isolated trail where speed has to be kept minimal, not wearing a helmet is not smart. There are exceptions to all rules, but if someone roasts by you on another quad or decides it would be fun to roost on the fellow with the moto4, you could get a rock in the head!

I'm like 90% of the people around here. I wear one as soon as I'm off my property. If my property was big enough to ride on, like some people who own ranches and such, I'd even have it on then.

I try not to preach about helmets and in general I'd say that I don't. It just makes sense to wear one.

Can anyone here come up with a legit reason for NOT wearing one?? Messing up your hair isn't a legit reason .. if you're riding your quad, it's gonna get messed anyway [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif[/img]

I didn't wear a helmet till we were drag racing one day and a dog ran out in front of a buddy and caused his quad to flip. If something can happen just drag racing 300ft think what can happening when duning or trail riding. Don't feel comfortable riding without one!

 

I wear mine. Even if you have 100% confidence in your riding abilities, you never know what could happen. A rookie could wreck into you, a drunk could wreck into you, a bird(LOL!), or you could even have a mechanical failure, you never know. My 2 pennies....

I Agree, I Dont Preach But I Think Everyone Should Wear A Helmet. But Then Again Its A Free Country. Do What You Want. I Just Dont Wanna See Pics Of Your Head Busted On The News Or Internet. Just Think About What Your Family Will Go Through.. Isnt That Enough?
