Blaster Hydro Brakes.
#1
I am thinking about putting a complete Set of banshee Brakes on my blaster.
Front and Rears. I know for the front i'd have to make a bracket. I really need the plans! If someone out there has the plans i'll greatly apperciate it.
And if everything goes smoothly with my set. I will start making the front brackets for people. If mine work out good.
And I will also make brakes for the rear if it turns out good also.
With the K&K used banshee parts.
Front caliper right 55.00 each
Front calipers left 55.00 each
rear calipers 120.00
front master cylinder 45.00
Rear master 50.00
front rotors 30.00 each
rear rotor 40.00
rear brake hub 30.00 <--what the hell is this? and do i need it?
For the back i will just need the master Cylinder and Caliper correct?
I figure i'll have out around 400 by the time I get everything.
here is what the brackets look like..

I am in the process of converting to hydraulic front brakes and I already have hydraulic rears. The bracket's are almost complete, and I have plans. I'll get them online as soon as I can, but I don't have a scanner, so it could be quite a while. They aren't to great anyway. Take a look at some of the pics you saw, you should be able to get a general idea of what the brackets should look like.
Parts needed for front brakes (from Banshee or Warrior):
2 Calipers
1 Master Cylinder
2 Front Hubs
Front Wheel Bearings
2 Front Brake Disks
Brake Lines
You will need brackets to hold the calipers, and spacers for the hubs.
Parts needed for rear:
Master Cylinder
Brake Caliper
Brake Lines
For the rear, your stock disk will work. You don't need a brake hub. You will need to weld a bracket for the master cylinder onto the frame, and modify the brake pedal to work with the new master cylinder. A new caliper braket is also needed.
Another tip: Don't buy all the parts from a place like K and K. You can usualy get anything you need from an individual (try the ATV Connection Classifieds) at a much better price.
Best of luck to you.
