Just an observation.... A little while back, I had an ATV accident while I was drinking, and I posted on here about it on June 3rd... (thread titled, "Smashed my Wolverine... & myself). The first replys were people ripping into me about what a dumb *** I was for d&d. Then everyone jumped on the band wagon and the thread went nuts. I had every Johnny Do-Good in the world telling me what an idiot I was, and they wished I'd gotten killed or smashed my bike into a million pieces. The thread ended up like 3 pages long with almost 60 replys, with almost no one admitting that the same thing happened to them. Now here on this post, with no one freaking out at them, they're all coming out of the wood work, and admitting that it does happen to alot of people. I'm not shi**ing on you guys for drinking and ATVing, because I know you learned your lessons the hard way like I did, but where were you when I needed some back up?

Just the rear black mud flap that connects to the foot plate at the bottom and the green body plastic at the top, just this small piece, was $64.00. I would not have replaced it but the bike belongs to me pappy and I did not want him to beat me?

In the State of Michigan, the law reads the same for DUI whether you are driving your car or your quad,it just dont matter. If your stopped by an officer or DNR on your quad ,better not be DRUNK,or the quad is impounded and you spend the night behind bars. You than appear in court just the same as if you were driving your auto drunk.

I think the law sucks,in Mich, the law reads .10 for intoxification.I have tested myself before at .15,and I know that I could have driven safely.Everyone's tolerance is differant. What makes you drunk may not even buzz someone else, and vice versa.

Back in the 80s,before the MAD organizations ect,we would drive our quads from tavern to tavern. Many of us would be buzzed, never had any accidents at all, perhaps we were lucky.I personally took it very easy on the quad after drinking.

I would'nt think of driving my quad today after consuming alcohol,it just is not worth the chance.===Bill
