Does anyone out there have DG nerfs on their Blaster? I am thinking about putting on nerfs and want either DG or AC. The DG nerfs are cheaper but I have heard that their aluminum nerfs are not all that great because they are hard to install, the nets are not replacable, and it is easy to get your foot stuck in the netting. Is this true of the steel DG nerf bars because i know that on these the netting is replacable and they are stronger? Are the steel DG nerfs too heavy(i want my blaster as light as possible) or are they good. Or should i spend the extra 50 bucks and buy the AC aluminum nerfs which i have heard all good about? Thanks

98 Yamaha Blaster with FMF gold series fatty pipe, FMF turbine core 2 silencer, DG baja aluminum skidplate, Renthal bars, Smith dual density grips, vented airbox with snorkel removed, LRD jet kit.

no offense, but you want you blaster to be light and you have the skid plates on it. That's not helping any.

But to the Nerf Bars. I'd save the $50 Buy the steel nerfs. They might be a little harder to put on and weigh a little more but for 50 you can start on another mod

i have dg alloy nerfs on my 2000 blaster. i think they are ok, sometimes it is a little hard to shift and they do sit a little below the peg. here are some pics of mine with the nerfs http://www.angelfire.com/punk/novaman15/blaster26.JPG and http://www.angelfire.com/punk/novaman15/blaster2.JPG

Don't get either, get Graydons. They have the best upward sweep for better groud clearance and BY FAR look the best. Both of my buddies who have Blasters have switched to the Graydons.

Thanks for the help everybody. I looked into graydon and i think i might get those. How much do the graydons cost(aluminum)? Also to 94DGBlaster, I already looked into how much they are gonna weigh, with the removed weight of the Fatty pipe and silencer, and a new bumper in comparison to stock, it wont hurt to put on the nerfs.

I have one last question for TRX440. On your buddies blasters how does the setup with the half floor boards work if the nerfs have to bolt to the pegs(or do they just have to be removed)? Also are the pegs strong enough to hold the nerfs under punishment?
