Raptorfam, you dad had 12/42 and he was not happy with that, why? I really do appreciate you talking gearing with me, I think gearing it makes a huge difference in performance.

what size tire are you running ? Tire/wheel sizes affect gearing also.

On olds hill 12/42 was geared a little to low. You would hit the hill, and be maxed out screaming in 3rd by 1/4 up the hill. But if you shifted to 4th it wouldn't pull out. 12/42 is perfect for a short steep hill like china wall, but olds is long and not very steep. So we had to make a choice and idealy we would have liked to go taller with gearing so we could scream out in 3rd, only have to shift once. But we didn't have the gearing to do that. We tried 12/44, 12/45 but they were not quite enough.

I have the 01' gears so I have about a two tooth difference in 2nd and 3rd (taller) so I was running olds at 12/43 which is equal to 12/41 on my dad's bike.

Hope that helps a little bit I'm looking forward to riding with you all again in the future, I hope that your son is ok.
That helps. I remember you now. My son is fine, thanks.

You did see you first Craycraft. It was mine. The one being welded on. Though my quad is not a fair representation of what they build. Like most builders, they build to suit and I chose a mild build with whats in my signature.

Hey Howard, the gauntlet has been thrown. You care to reply? After seeing your last dyno sheet, I think that number can be beaten.

If I'm not mistaken, doesn't Kenz T-REX run 4.00? Your Rappy's making near the same RWHP, and probably a ton more torque. What's the weight difference between the two?
