If you run Alcohol in a stock engine it will more than likely burn a hole in your piston, alcohol is for high compression engines.

although alcohol does like some compression, i don't think you need to modify your motor to run it. What you do have to worry about is getting the proper carb set up to run it. They don't even make jets big enough for banshees to run alchol, and i dought they do for a blaster either. youu have to drill your own, and then after that you also need to drill out your needle jet, and probably need a different needle. Alot of guys run a power jet also so that you don't burn it up on the big end. on everage, you have to burn about 1.7 times as much alcohol as you would gas for the same motorsince you don't have any other motor mods it sounds like, may i ask why you want to make the switch? At the most, alcohol will pick you up about 10% more power. Most of the guys using alcohol are running a full race motor...i think there is probably some other stuff that you should invest in first.

What are you trying to accomplish by running alcohol?

You might want to consider porting, piping, & jetting your Blaster if you haven't already to get more performance.

I don't think you'll have much luck running alcohol in a stock motor (stock compression).

Leave the alcohol for drinking after a long days ride.
