The big gun for the Raptor is $240 on www.atvparts.biz
If you really want the Alba one, you might as well get the one from Procom - they are exactly the same with the same curve.

The Big Gun curve is different, and I've seen them as low as $225 - not bad for a name brand.

Most stock motors have a hard time reving to the valve float RPM
I will agree with most of what he says....but most engines including the the raptor will have no problem at all floating the valves. But raising by 1000rpms is safe enough...it is still under redline.

The rectifier thing confuses me as well...a rectifier/regulator is an electronical means of controlling how much voltage/current is coming from your stator and getting to the battery. thus preventing the stator from over charging your battery. Unless you are using some kind of capacitor. The rectifier has no controll over trickle charge. An aftermarket rectifier might increase the supplied voltage to a battery...thus making it seem more efficient.

You make it sound like the rectifier has control over the spinning of the stator...which is gonna spin at the same rate either way...

....You make it sound like this is too easy for you...well I'm here. Show me some circuits and I'll tell you what they do.

The ALBA CDI was for the Z400.

They don't have one for the Raptor, or not that I know of. I haven't seen the Big Gun for any cheaper then $240. I've heard several bad stories about cdi's from ebay, so I would only buy from a company.
