Ok I have a raptor with Sparks full exhaust and gytr jet kit and pro flow foam intake. I ride through a lot of mud and water but I would really like to get the power of the lid off but with the lid really on. What is the next best thing to actually having the lid off? Is it holes on top or on the back of the air box or the cut out with the ems fabric covering it? Also would it be good to cut the flaps on the snorkel? Since I ride through puddles and sometimes in the rain would a outerwear be enough protection? If not what would let it get more air the K & N power lid or the ehs?

I had the same problem with my warrior. Deciding what to do about the lid. I spent alot of money buying a couple of stock airbox lids and modifying them all different ways . I'll save you alot of time and money. Run with no airbox lid. Make sure you have a clean Outerwears filter over the air filter.
I've checked the quad after a ride to find a leaf had blocked the airbox drain and the
water was halfway up the filter. The warrior still ran ok and I had no idea that much water was in the airbox.
