Alright, I'm down to the flywheel on the one-way side. I can't get the %#@%$ thing out. I've clean stripped two different screws on the puller and have to go buy grade 8 screws tomorrow. My one way gear is visible and seems to be working fine, moves very freely clockwise and doesn't move at all counter clockwise which leads me to believe the bearing is working. There was metal dust in the flywheel though. My question is can it be something different besides the one way? Either way I have the puller and I'm going to get this thing off to know for sure. I'm not all the way in yet but the gear that I can access and manipulate seems to be working fine. Any comments from you guys who know what I'm going through would be great. Thanks

The hardest part to the job is pulling the flywheel, you'll need a good puller and bolts.

Yes you need 8 grade bolts. What usually works for me is:
1) Use an impact wrench on the puller
2) If no #1 after the puller is really tight hit the head of the puller bolt with a good size hammer to (((shock))) it loose. Works almost evey time.

If you've got metal dust on the flywheel it's your oneway. Plan on replacing that and the gear under it. I highly reccomend the LA design oneway. If it fails it's rebuildable for alot less than buying another oneway. Check www.rspconcepts.com and I'm sure some other folks can reccomend other places online to find em too.

I agree. The ones I've seen fail will grab in some spots and not at others, if it doesn't grab instantly every time at different spots on the gear it's bad. Metal dust and flakes are a bad sign too. L&A is the only way.
