guys i dont think i can resist.. i NEED a white and red one in my garage.. in the next couple weeks i think im going to make this happen.. There are a few differnt competing dealer in San Antonio where i can go... Whats the best price i can expect to get them down to.. before taxes or finance charges.. like the sticker price... i dont want to walk in there ignorant.. but i Will be walking out with one that day.. so i dont have time to walk out and come back.. so what should i try for?.. ill call them and see what sticker price there asking and tell ya..in a few minutes..

get them down....if you walk in the door of there dealership with 6500 cash you will walk out with a yfz ....and 6500 is the out the door price

 

out the door price: im guessing .. bought my wifes honda new last year: it included no sales tax in TX (for farm use only).. but it includes there (assembly of the quad) tax, and any finance charges if you finace...soo is $6500 with the dealer cost.. the $200 they charge for assembly--- $6500 after all the little charges but before finance charges?.. thats a good price?

 

no its 6500 with all that included.... just walk in the dealer with 6500 cash and you will walk ut with a yfz...tell me how it goes

 

I'm in Arizona and I'm being told that you can get a YFZ450 for $6900 OTD NO problem. I am trying to talk myself into picking one up this weekend. I think I will try your $6500 approach and if they don't go for it I will ask for a 6 pack rack and a service manual atleast.

thats not how u do it....you walk in with the 6500 cash to the dealer and say ill give you 6500 cash right now out the door for a yfz and if they say no say ok im gonna go to so and so dealer down the road and theyll either say ok or no no wait ill take it..and if they say no go to another dealer and say the same thing and ull eventually get it and most of the time its your first time...good luck tell me how it goes and take picture of your yfz

 

You can get one for 6200 OTD at Chicago Cycle Center.

 

walk in there with 6200 cash in one pocket and 300 cash in your other pocket and tell em 6200 OTD cash in their hand right now and then if they try and bargain with you do it, you may get between 6200 and 6500. if they want more lay the 6500 on the table and say final offer then walk out if they dont take it

 

Thankyou all for the advice.. one big problem though... I DONT HAVE $6XXX CASH! Dang it!... my plan is $3000 cash and finance the rest? does you advice still hold.. should i go for $6200, $6500... and there the only Yamaha dealer withing 60 miles... and i have to drive 140 miles to get to them in the first place.. 60 more miles puts me 200 miles from home? i wont tell them that though.. but saying ill go down the street to the competion wont work....keep it coming guys. thanks.. hopefully this ill all go down next Saturday!
