stuck bolt
#1
Well right now im in the process of taking out some 10mm bolts. I could get one free and the rest are stuck. I stripped my 2 10mm sockets trying to remove them, and it says 10mm on the bolt head. I sprayed WD 40 on a couple to see if that would make a differnce but there still in there. Does anyone have a good idea how to remove them?

could you hit it a little bit then kind of jiggle them with TWISTERRRRRR (inside joke) twister is a better type of wd 40! but if all else fails grind off the head and then ust plires to take it out but you would also need to buy a new bolt

Buying a new bolt isnt a problem. Lots of 10mm bolts at ace hardware, I may end up doing that. I will start back up on it tonight. Getta see my friend who finally went back home from his quadwreck

Get this stuff called PB-Blaster, its far better then wd-40.. I use this stuff everyday at work on rusted bolts on light equipment works every time..
You can find PB-Blaster at wal mart
If you can heat them up a little that works the best....

try tapping them with a hammer, and or heating them up vibration and heat will brake loose any rust or corrosion usually works every time also if it is a screw they make a impact screw driver just be carefull with one of these they sometimes break the head off! and that sucks I hate drilling and tapping. Good luck

its a socket screw right? you can grind part of the head and take a flat screw driver and use that!!! also twister is just the same as PB-Blaster but the PB-blaster somtimes weakens the paint on the aluminum and it flakes off!!
