Bartlett,
Do you think that JB weld would hold it or should I get it welded. It looks as though it is cast...steel I suppose. I am correct I believe in that this piece will not see hardly any internal pressure so I'm thinking that as long as there is a good seal, everything should be fine??? Do you have any other suggestions. This is really unfortunate and it really upsets me.

I cracked the head cover where the oil line connects......(over torqued the banjo bolt)....I grinded it down and made it rough so the JB Weld would adhere properly...........
waited 48 hours and reinstalled
started the engine and oil began to squirt out of the crack and all over my head pipe.........
I ended up having to get it welded and just for good measure I put some copper adhesive on the washers and along the edge of the head cover
so far so good...........
