oh man i wish i could stay home and clean the guns hehe. no this is the truth. it was a 6 hour race on a frozen lake. I have pics too, not of the quad tho. i'll try and get the guy involved in the conversation.

I just sent him a message to check this thread out. he's not on right now, but i'm sure we'll hear from him soon...

hey yah he's telling the truth.
my rod bearing went along with 2 others that i know of now 2 be fair to the machine ice racing is really hard on it and untill the end the quad worked great. it made it through a 6 hour a 24 hour and 2 6hours to go on the last 6hour of the season.
to be honest every single YFZ450 that i raced with was torn down atleast once durnig the season but i thought mine was going to make it but it didn't quite. Another problem was someone but the high compression piston in and it also went. but like i said again ice racing is really hard on the machine but sounds like to me the rod bearing could be a weak link....
but hey if you dont' have any problems thats great btw there covering it mostly on warrenty great dealership up here....

thanks for the heads up my friend!

would make sense to me that the 450 needs more attention, due to the nature of the engine. not surprising. Hey I spent a lot of my afternoon doing maint on my Raptor.. remember those high performance machines? LOL
I still love squeezin the trigger on that thing.. what a rush!
