Default still problems with 91 warrior starting...

ok yes i posted about this problem and it was brought to my attention that my solenoid was probaly the problem... Any ways today i replaced the solenoid (70 bucks canadian) and it works good for the first few starts then after i get the quad a little wet and ride for about 3 hours it wants to do the same thing... Press the start button and there will be a delay before the quad even trys to start or i will hear the same old clicking noise from the solenoid area... any ideas what this can be, lose wiring? Moisture? Battery? And please try to keep in mind im kinda on a tight budget right now so buying a complete new electrical system isnt practical thanks for your replies.

I used to have a problem with my battery corroding(sp) over and getting a bad connection. Check your battery and connection.

I dont believe that its the battery corroding but perhaps its near the end of its life? Is there a good way for me to determine if that is the case?

I had this same exact problem on my 92'. Actually it happened twice for 2 different reasons. The first time it was simple, the battery terminals were just loose and i tightened them. But then it happened again and I though it was the solenoid. But what it ended up being was the fuse back there kept loosening up. I ended up replacing it with a better fuse and housing that was more weather proof and havent had problems since.

hmmmm i know the fuse is still good but it could be possible the connection could be loose, does it matter what kind of fuse u switch to if you switch them? But Corndog what did you do to make it more weather proof? thanks lots
