Put synthetic 10W30 in the transmission. Also buy a good brand of oil, dont buy any cheap crap or you will regret it. Ive heard the synthetic works much smoother than regular oil.

The manual states NOT to put in oil that has additional modifiers that use the words "ENERGY CONSERVING" above the "API" label (little circle on the back of the oil can".
This modifier will make your clutch slip.

I use Yamaha oil. It cost a little more, but it only takes a little over a half a quart to fill. It's not like filling up a Dodge V-10.

I just put a block off kit on mine and had to drain all the oil out of the crankcase. I used a SAE 10W30 Type SJ motorcycle oil just like the instructions said. I used Pennziol Synthetic.

regular 10-30 motor oil is fine. Do not put in a fully synthetic oil because it will cause the clutch to slip.

Bel-Ray or Maxima makes a good 2 stroke transmission oil.

If your running Pre-mix then I would use Klotz or Blendzall Pre mix oil. Both have a great smell in the exaust. I use in my Tranny Valvoline 10m-30 Racing oil.
