DG rear plate broke, Need a better one!! Help!
OK, I know this thing took a beating, but it didnt last all that long really (5-6months). We ride on really ruff and rocky trails sometimes and over time the right side of the plate beat up into the rotor, but didnt damage it. I caught it in time b4 it bent it. I tried hammering it back into shape but a weld broke. So, I need a better one. There is a company that makes stainless steel plates, anyone have any dealings with them?? I know that they would be really heavy, but should hold up really nice too right?
There is also another company that makes a 1/4" thick aluminum plate, I think it was YZ something?? Anyway, I dont know about the 1/4 thick one, Id rather not loose any more clearence.... but dont want to have to replace any chains and stuff either.
ANY IDEAS???

I just purchased a moose rear skid. so far it has held up against several large rocks. I bought it from a yamaha dealer for $100.00. It is really thick and covers the entire rear swing arm sprocket. I think it is larger than the dg. I researched it before I bought it. I have never heard of one bending or breaking. I have given it a beating so far and have road over the same area that tore my stock one up something terrible. I would recommend it.
The terrain I ride in, you have to have hole shot six ply tires. It is so rocky that I have tore up stock tires on other atv's that I owned on several occasions. Mining Country go figure?????????
